Emirates Flight Vegan meals

Long haul flights with layovers are not a joke, and the added stress of having dietary restrictions can make it even worse. I had a terrible experience on my last trip home, and dreaded the thought of having to go through it again. I decided to book with a different airline this time. When we got this meal, my heart sank, but I decided to just stay positive. It was on a red eye flight and I wasn't hungry anyway.

When you book your flight with Emirates, you can select the vegan option for your meal. You can also make changes after you booked it. The travel time was 22 hours in total, and a girl's got to eat to stay healthy! This meal was a bit mushy for my taste and the potatoes were a bit dry, but it was palatable.

I think it's super important to share this with all the compassionate people out there, but I must say it's really hard to take nice photos on a plane! This was incredibly good! I couldn't believe how tasty it was! And yes I double checked it was vegan! It even had a little muffin! Stellar breakfast!

One little perk is getting your meal before every one else but then you sit with your dirty tray for a long time waiting for it to be cleared.  This was a delicious stew and I really enjoyed the coconut chia pudding!

This was the best meal on the flight. The antipasto was exceptional! And I loved all the green veggies!

I didn't care much for this one. You know, beans on a flight...

This was also really delicious. I've had a version of this sweet and sour pork many times in Hong Kong, but it is usually accompanied by mushrooms made to taste like pork or fake pork. I was happy to see they didn't attempt the fake meat thing and it just had some great veggies.

I completely lost track of what meal I was having, the time difference and being in the air for that long really messed with my head. But this was the last meal, and the fajita wrap was awesome! I was so relieved that we got decent food on the flight. Will definitely consider booking with them again!
