Review: Miss Lee

We visited Miss Lee, in Wellington street, Central, Hong Kong on a sunny Saturday afternoon. This restaurant comes highly recommended, and one can see why. Instagrammable decor, spotless, excellent vegan and vegetarian food and exceptional service.

We both opted for the 2 appetiser and one main set and the food was more than enough. Not being a dessert fan we skipped that part, but perhaps I will consider it in future.

The Cucumber Salad was fresh and delicious. Accompanied by fungus, pearl tomato and a sesame ginger dressing, it was a highlight of the meal!

I loved these Sweet Sesame Pumpkin Cakes with the Walnut dipping sauce, right up my alley.

The Black Fungus Hot & Sour Soup (left) and the Lettuce Wrap were both quite spicy, as it states on the menu. I am not mad about spicy food but my partner really enjoyed these dishes.

I had some trouble choosing the main dish, and I definitely had food envy when I saw and tasted my partner's dish. All this means is that I will just have to go back and choose something different! I am not a bolognaise fan but if you are, the Hot & Sour Handmade Noodles (above) is really reminiscent of the original. It also has the same flavour profile as the Hot & Sour Soup, so perhaps don't eat these two together. But my favourite dish of the day was the Mapo Eggplant & Bean Curd with Kale rice. It was so delicious and I will go back just to try this dish again.
