I was awestruck. You enter a elevator of an office type building. 10th floor. When the doors open you see this:
The decor of this restaurant is spectacular and I have never seen anything like it. I am not sure if this part functions like a retail shop but it is very much part of the restaurant:
Veggie SF states that it is a vegetarian restaurant on their website, but when you call them they say they are vegan. Perhaps it is advisable to check if everything is vegan before you order if you have allergies or dietary specifications. They serve internationally inspired cuisine with a mixed theme of fabulous 50's and San Francisco.
Unfortunately they ran out of the base of their milkshakes so we couldn't order the drinks that we wanted and the fruity soda peach tea we ordered was too sweet and it was not carbonated. But the food was great. We started with the Vietnamese fried veggie rolls with garlic sauce for HK$ 78. It was tasty and the dipping sauce was to die for.
We moved on to the main course and we both ordered the I am Fabulous Burger for HK$168. As per the recommendation on the menu we added avocado (HK$20) and vegan cheese (HK$20). The burgers are served with a great salad and some potato wedges which could have done with more salt but perhaps that is just my taste. Do not expect a burger patty. It clearly states pate on the menu and the waiter informed us that it is quite mushy so my expectations were managed well. All the burgers have grilled onions, fresh tomato, and alfalfa sprouts. Our burgers included a beetroot, cashew nut, lentil mushroom pate with sun-dried tomato mayo. It was really tasty and based on this burger I will definitely go back and try some more of their dishes.
The service was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
